5 min excerpt from video
In the video Still Life Sludge, the viewer is seduced by a an image of a colourful bouquet of flowers. Slowly the plastic flowers start to melt, transforming into a fluid mass, and the plastic dissolves into a delicate but organic-looking matter. What is left is a synthetic substance made mainly of oil; the stage before the plastic flowers were formed. The cycle is complete: from artificial to living, from synthetic to organic.
